HELP TO REPORT A HATE CRIME

If it's urgent, and you need an emergency response, you have to dial 112. If the situation isn't urgent, dial 114.

The police recommends having the following information ready before you call, but you don't have to be able to answer all questions to be able to file a report:

  • CPR number, address, and phone number

  • Insurance company and policy number

  • Information about the location and time of the crime

  • Information about what happened

  • Identity or description of possible suspects

  • Information of potential witnesses

You can get more information about filing reports of violence on the police's website.

We also recommend that you contact the nearest emergency care or your doctor if you have any physical injuries following the incident.

If you are a victim of or a witness to a violent crime, or close to someone who has, you can call Offerrådgivningens landstelefon (National hotline for victims): 72 21 72 21 for mental health counseling.
